Cardiff Bay by Water Taxi: An Independent Visitor Guide

Cardiff Bay is best seen from the water, and for many years a small yellow passenger boat shuttled visitors across it. This page is an independent guide built from archived information about that service. It is not operated by any boat company, and it cannot be used to book a trip.

A yellow passenger boat crossing Cardiff Bay

About the service as described in the archive

The operator called itself the original boat operator on Cardiff Bay, said it had been running since 2000, and claimed to have carried more than a million passengers. These are the operator’s own statements. Its distinctive yellow boats were meant for leisure trips and a good day out, and tickets were sold on board without advance booking. Times could change or sailings be cancelled, as is normal on tidal and weather-dependent waters.
